RD Computers is the first computer shop in Minuwangoda, Sri Lanka, serving the community with custom-built PCs, high-performance laptops, printers, and accessories. The business caters to gamers, students, and professionals, offering services ranging from custom PC builds and tech consultations to quick repairs and smart upgrades. Despite their strong local reputation, RD Computers lacked a professional online presence. Their brand and services were not effectively showcased to a wider audience, limiting their growth potential in an increasingly digital marketplace. They approached Syntax Asia with a clear goal: build a modern, responsive, and easy-to-manage website that would reflect their brand identity, highlight their diverse product range and services, and serve as a powerful tool for customer acquisition and engagement.
Syntax Asia developed the RD Computers website using WordPress as the content management system, paired with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to create a fully customizable backend experience. A custom post type was built specifically for products and promotions, allowing the RD Computers team to easily add, edit, and manage their inventory, flash sales, and special offers. The frontend was designed with a clean, modern, and professional aesthetic that resonates with gamers, students, and professionals alike. Key features included a “Build-My-PC” tool, a tech consultation request form, a blog section for tech tips and guides, and a dynamic testimonials section to showcase customer feedback. The team also implemented SEO best practices and performance optimization to ensure fast load times and better search engine visibility. A comprehensive training session was conducted to empower the RD Computers team to independently manage their content, add new products, and update promotions without needing developer assistance.
